The Divergent fandom went into an uproar this week with the first real announcements pertaining to the highly-anticipated movie adaptation. According to multiple sources, including author Veronica Roth herself, Shailene Woodley is in final talks to star as Tris, and Alexander Ludwig (Cato in The Hunger Games) declared via Twitter he had a meeting to talk about getting the role of Four. The hardcore fans appear not to be amused. (Frankly, you just don’t want to step into the Divergent tag on Tumblr anymore.) Criticism of Shailene Woodley abounds due to her role in the The Secret Life of the American Teenager (although others are again praising […]
Hello book blogging world! I am here to join the masses. I’ve spent way too many hours working on making this blog look the way I want it to. I’m pretty much damning myself, because… I have exams next week! Oh well, this isn’t the first time I’ve found a major time-draining obsession right before exams.Anyway, the next week or so I will be working on perfecting the layout and pages and copying my old reviews from Goodreads. But in the meantime, I hope to get some new posts in here as well. And pass my exams. Yeah, that would be good. Yay grad school.Cheers!
I’m just going to give this a quick review, instead of what I had been thinking of not reviewing it at all. Exams next week, lol. I laugh in the face of exams. So. Tempting the Best Man. Armentrout, which is what incited my curiosity for this book. My obsession with the Lux series knows no bounds, really. But anyway, the romance she had written in the Lux series was […]
Imagine all the gushing sounds on the planet and that’s basically what I am right now. I’m just one puddle of goo, and don’t roll your eyes at me, that’s so opposite to how I usually am. This series is just plain amazing. While I personally don’t think it was as great as Obsidian, it was still amazing. This series is turning out to be one of my absolute all time favorites. This book seriously just had me trembling, giggling, squealing and I don’t do that. I just don’t. Let me get this out of the way, the reason why I’m giving a book that […]
Now I’ll be the first to admit that by simply reading the premise, I don’t think this is a book I would normally pick up. It’s not that it’s completely out of my comfort zone or something, but it’s definitely J.K. Rowling’s name on the cover that got me so excited. Harry Potter changed my life, like much of my generation, but if I had to name one thing about that series that blew me away it would be the writing. I absolutely love Rowling’s style, the way she creates a world and develops her characters. To me, it’s a flawless writing style that since […]
