Posted July 31, 2013 by Debby in Uncategorized

This is a weekly meme, hosted at Breaking the Spine, spotlighting upcoming releases that we’re anticipating.

Title: Origin
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Release Date: August 27th, 2013
Publisher: Entangled Publishing
Series: Lux (#4 of 5)
Pages: 400
Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together? Goodreads

That cliffhanger at the end of Opal!! *shakes fist* Man am I excited to get back to the world of the Lux. I’m anxious about reading Daemon’s point of view, but pretty excited too. Let’s hope Katy and Daemon are reunited soon and we can have more of that addictive romance. (See my review of Opal.)

When I saw that there was an e-ARC lottery of Origin on twitter I just.. *SCREECHES* ahem, but I'm completely jealous of those who get to read this early and it's such it a wake up call because THIS IS HAPPENING! I'm super excited for it to come out! 😀

    3. 😀 😀 😀 It makes me so happy that you love this series so much 🙂 I can't wait to flail over Origin together with you 🙂

    4. Hahaha, I feel you there – the covers are TERRIBLE. Like SUPER TERRIBLE. And they kept me from taking the series seriously for a long time. But the contents are really good. (Still a lot of shirtless Daemon though, and while I do appreciate it at times, it's a bit overdone.)

    5. I didn't even see that, haha. I dunno, there are barely any early reviews of this, and that's good – it's keeping me sane because I can't handle the teasing.
