Can you fall in love in just one day? Can you become a new person? How about in just one year? In JUST ONE DAY and its companion novel JUST ONE YEAR, sheltered American good girl Allyson “LuLu” Healey and easygoing actor Willem De Ruiter are about to find out against a guidebook-worthy array of foreign backdrops. Equal parts romance, coming-of-age-tale, mystery and travel romp (with settings that span from England’s Stratford upon Avon to Paris to Amsterdam to India’s Bollywood) JUST ONE DAY and JUST ONE YEAR show how in looking for someone else, you just might wind up finding yourself. Hold the phone, BOLLYWOOD? Seriously?? Wow. I can’t wait to see more exotic settings, described by Gayle Forman. I mean, her portrayals of Paris and the Netherlands were just amazing. Anyway, I can’t wait for Willem and Allyson to be reunited. EXCITED. (See my review of Just One Day.)
I read in a blogpost somewhere that Gayle actually went to India, got sick and had to stay there until she got better. The hospitality of the local people is one of the reasons she got the idea to write Just One Day. Eeep! So yes to all the places mentioned in Just One Year. I so need that book right now!

Ahh, I need this book like NOW. Just One Day was amazing and I'm excited to see how Forman will describe all these other awesome places!

My WW!
The ending of Just One Day killed me… I'm dying to see what happens next! Jamie had it at my house a couple of weeks ago and I seriously wanted to steal it, but it needed to be mailed to someone else ASAP.. booooo. Can't wait to read it!!
WAIT THEY'RE GOING TO BOLLYWOOD?
Why have I missed this? I have featured this title before too, but I totally missed that part of their travel adventures. Or maybe it's just Willem, in his year of discovery.
I'm with you: I totally loved Just One Day and love Forman's writing and love how she can bring out the best and worst in a setting and why isn't it October already? :O The little snippet in the back of JOD was not enough! More Allyson and more Willem!

Dammit, I still need to read the first book!
Aghh! still haven't read anything by Gayle Forman even though I want to! So even though I haven't read the first book for this series, I'm super excited to see how Bollywood will be portrayed, too. It'll definitely be cool to see a book set in a different country for once. 🙂

EEP get on that Meg! I would definitely suggest to start with Just One Day though, as I didn't really like If I Stay haha. But WHEEE JUST ONE DAY 😀
