Top Ten Tuesday #20: Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR List

Let’s look back at my Summer TBR List… 8/10! I only failed on Origin and The School For Good and Evil. I’m rather proud of that to be honest. Considering what a mood reader I am. I doubt I’ll be doing that well this time, but WE’LL SEE. Most of these are sequels I’ve been dying for, so that should up the motivation a bit – but then again, hype scares me off, so I dunno.1. ARC Book Review: The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas

ARC Book Review: The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas

The Burning Sky is one of those books with a premise and a cover that pretty much had me salivating. It sounded perfect for me. It hit all the right notes. And while I recognized many points on which the book could have been better, this was such an engaging and absorbing read that I loved it all the same. Let’s get the elephant out of the room: the romance. It is… amazing. Irresistible. Addicting. Iolanthe and Titus have a chemistry that drips off the page. It didn’t take long at all for me to be head over heels for them. It was just the right […]

Meet the Author: Samantha Shannon of The Bone Season

Meet the Author: Samantha Shannon of The Bone Season

This past Monday, I had the immense honor of meeting Samantha Shannon, author of the debut novel The Bone Season. It was somewhat of a surprise – the event was planned super last minute, so I only knew about it five days before that. Sadly, that meant that it was way too short notice to find a hardcover copy of the book. Amazon would likely get it here just one day too late. Judith, bless her heart, went around to a ton of bookstores in Amsterdam to try to find it. Turned out that there honestly wasn’t a single hardcover copy of The Bone Season for sale […]

Book Review: Geek Girl by Holly Smale

Book Review: Geek Girl by Holly Smale

Geek Girl is one of those books that I pick up when I’m in a certain mood. It’s a light, fluffy contemporary with a certain escapism appeal. And in that sense, it’s so great to read – as long as I don’t start qualitatively analyzing it. This book has a lot going for it. As a raging nerd and geek myself, I definitely connected with Harriet on many points. I think in a way that a lot of people don’t understand – and while I don’t collect random facts and spew them out all the time, it was definitely enjoyable to read from that point of […]

This is not the end though..

This is not the end though..

Umm… Hello there. Remember me? Debby? Yeah. I’m still alive. (HOORAY!) But you’ll probably have noticed that I have been remarkably absent as of late. And I’m really sorry about that. At first, I just had an incredibly busy week that completely exhausted me… then I fell into a reading slump… then I just kind of collapsed all together. But! I’m feeling a bit better and hopefully I can get back on track. So What Happened? Before I begin, note that this post is going to get very personal and massively long. You are free to press the little x now and leave if that’s not your thing. […]

Blog Tour Review: All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill

Blog Tour Review: All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill

Every once in a while, a book comes along with a synopsis and a cover which convince you, no matter what, you will love that book. You don’t need to read any reviews or reactions, you just know. It doesn’t happen too often. I believe the last time I had it, it was with Stormdancer. But then, along came All Our Yesterdays. I just knew it. However, with previous reads that I had high hopes for ultimately letting me down, I was still nervous about it. But that was unwarranted for All Our Yesterdays. Make no mistake, I love this book. I’m kind of in […]
