Unteachable is an indie New Adult romance that popped up on my radar last year after multiple blogger friends gave it high ratings and rave reviews. New Adult isn’t really my thing, but every once in a while, I am up for a steamy romance, and with its pretty cover and good prospects, Unteachable was at the top of that list to check out. I definitely enjoyed this read, and it was a great albeit coincidental Valentine’s gift to myself, but I’m feeling a bit… conflicted.
Month: March 2014
This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here. Let me preface this by saying that these are popular authors that I’ve never read that I’m planning to fix somewhat soon. There are plenty of bestselling authors that I have no interest in reading ever ever ever (looking at you, E.L. James). So. Just so that’s clear. Okay.
Kasie West does it again! Oh my god, guys, I am so happy. I want to dance around and throw confetti in the air, because obviously I’ve officially found my author soul mate. This is Kasie’s third book, and just like the other two, it gets 5 stars from me. I mean, there’s auto-buy authors, and then there’s please-can-I-stalk-you-and-maybe-marry-you authors, and that’s kind of what Kasie West is becoming to me. *cough* Okay. Calm down, Debby. Cool it.
February 2014: in which I read like crazy! Is this month over already? Ahhhh, I’m not ready for it to be March. Thesis deadline is ever approaching. One day I’ll start doing something about that. (Note: make it this weekend, Debby.) Anyway, this was a great month for me in terms of reading. I read 14 books (4,798 pages; average rating: 3.36) and posted 9 reviews and 14 other posts. And in an effort to keep my book buying under control, I bought/acquired 17 books – while I read 14 this month. *fist pumps*
