Book Haul #16: Which Is…. Huge

Book Haul #16: Which Is…. Huge

I went a biiiiiiit far this month, it turns out, with my book haul. But I had things to celebrate: a late graduation gift to myself, the first paycheck self-congratulatory gifts… There are REASONS. And I’m on a book buying ban now until Christmas anyway, so that should … compensate? ^^; Purchased All Broke Down by Cora Carmack (my review) Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods by Rick Riordan My True Love Gave to Me, edited by Stephanie Perkins Alienated by Melissa Landers Harry Potter “Signature Edition” Box Set by J.K. Rowling Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll For Review From Macmillan: […]

Book Review: All Broke Down by Cora Carmack

Book Review: All Broke Down by Cora Carmack

In my latest hopeless romantic binge, I decided I should finally finish my reading of all of Cora Carmack’s books to date. All Broke Down cements her as one of my all-time favorite, auto-buy authors. This woman writes absolute magic. Her characters are so different yet always manage to be relatable. She tackles real new adult issues while simultaneously bringing us the steamiest of romances. All Broke Down is no exception. Now, you’ll notice that I didn’t think this book was really perfect – and that mostly comes down to the characters. Though different and to an extent relatable, I didn’t have the strongest connection […]

Sisterhood of the World Blogging Tag

Sisterhood of the World Blogging Tag

Happy Thanksgiving to the Americans out there – and to the rest of you, happy Thursday! (I… guess.) I’m here with the tag that is making the rounds, so you know the drill. Gillian from Writer of Wrongs tagged me and now I have ten pesky questions to answer. (jk ilu kthnxbai) THE RULES: 1. Thank the blogger that nominated you and link back to their website. 2. Post the award’s logo on your blog. 3. Answer the ten questions you have been asked. 4. Nominate ten other bloggers and ask them ten other questions. 1. Which book do you own the most copies of […]

Book Review: Finding It by Cora Carmack

Book Review: Finding It by Cora Carmack

After I quickly binge read and loved Losing It and Faking It by Cora Carmack, I put off Finding It, the last book in the series, because I just hadn’t heard many good things. After some time, my desire for more hot romances loaded with chemistry (preferably by Cora Carmack) trumped my hesitance, and I’m happy to announced that I loved Finding It. It is my least favorite of the three, but that’s hardly worth mentioning, because with its heartbreakingly realistic characters and hot romance, it’s a truly great read. Now, Finding It probably won’t work for everyone. Reading some of the many negative reviews […]

Top Ten Books on My Winter 2014-2015 TBR List

Top Ten Books on My Winter 2014-2015 TBR List

This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here. As a compulsive completionist, it is very distressing to me that this topic is happening now, because I’m sooo not done yet with my Fall TBR (by which I mean I’ve only read 7 out of 10 – the shaaaaame, the shaaaaaaaaame). *cough* Anyway, this winter I’m hoping to really catch up on review copies, get them out of the way, and then I can catch up on some of my other TBR Top Ten Tuesdays from this year – books that I missed. But to […]

Audiobook Review: Chasing Before by Lenore Appelhans

Audiobook Review: Chasing Before by Lenore Appelhans

I start this review with pain in my heart because I wanted to like Chasing Before so badly. I really enjoyed The Memory of After in spite of a few quibbles, and I’ve met Lenore on multiple occasions. She’s awesome! So awesome that she’s the one who gave me this audiobook! And sadly, I didn’t really like it. I didn’t hate it either, but it was just a bit meh. First off, I shouldn’t have listened to this on audio. I should have read it in print. Right away, I realized that Cynthia Holloway is not the narrator for me. Her voice is high pitched, […]

ARC Book Review: Top Ten Clues You’re Clueless by Liz Czukas

ARC Book Review: Top Ten Clues You’re Clueless by Liz Czukas

Earlier this year, I absolutely fell in love with Liz Czukas’s debut, Ask Again Later, so when I got the opportunity to read Top Ten Clues You’re Clueless, I was a bouncing bundle of joy. Though less bantery and wonderfully shippy than Ask Again Later, Top Ten Clues was feel good, happy making, and totally reminiscent of epic ’80s movies like The Breakfast Club. Top Ten Clues You’re Clueless immediately captivated me due to Chloe’s wonderfully refreshing and engaging voice. Chloe, I would argue, has a mild form of obsessive compulsive disorder. She goes through all her life making lists. They’re entertaining and pretty clever, […]

Music Match-Up #7: Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Music Match-Up #7: Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Every once in a while, I come across a song that fits perfectly with a book I’ve read. In this new feature, I’ll tell you about them! Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins Welcome to what is unexpectedly becoming “Stephanie Perkins Week” on Snuggly Oranges. *cough* Anyway, who of you does not know about Anna and the French Kiss? Probably no one, right? And most of you have read it. I’ve actually read it twice – most recently a couple weeks ago to get me ready to binge the rest of the Stephanie Perkins books and it was just as fluffy and fantastic […]
