You know, I dislike this topic for making me think of all the books that I get teary eyed with want over but I CANNOT HAS. CURSE YOU, CRUEL BOOKISH WORLD, WHERE AUTHORS NEED TIME TO WRITE AND STUFF AND JUST. *cough* Right. Here are some books in some series that I just wish wish wish I could dive into RIGHT ABOUT NOW.

The Vanishing Throne1. Throne of Glass #4 by Sarah J. Maas
ROWAN. *cough* Okay, and everything else too. Throne of Glass is turning out to be one of the most amazing YA fantasy series out there – with Heir of Fire really cementing it as an epic fantasy. I can’t get enough of that world.

2. Winter by Marissa Meyer
I know Fairest is coming even sooner, and most people are consumed with the wait for that, and don’t get me wrong – I am going to pre-order the shit out of it. But I don’t put much stock in novellas, and I do want to see the conclusion of the epicccc series. And more Cress and Thorne please. I spaceship it.

3. The Vanishing Throne by Elizabeth May
THAT FREAKING CLIFFHANGER ENDING. I’m not over the brilliance of The Falconer and I never will be. The fact that I still have to wait until SEPTEMBER 2015 is killing me.

The Winner's Crime small4. All Played Out by Cora Carmack
I just got caught up on all the Cora Carmack books in existence and I’m going through withdrawal already. Though the Rusk University series is really more of a companion series, I need All Played Out like yesterday. And it’s ANTONELLA and TORRES omggggggg I neeeeeeeeeeed it.

5. Jesse’s Girl by Miranda Kenneally
Same as Cora Carmack – Miranda Kenneally writes such fantastic romances that I just cannot asdjfkl; I need more more more. I don’t even know the slightest thing about Jesse’s Girl but I know that I neeeeeed it.

6. The Winner’s Crime by Marie Rutkoski
Technically, I have this on my e-reader. But *cough* still. I’m so excited to read this!!

LionHeart_US_0057. The Pirate Code by Heidi Schulz
I think we’ve established that I thought Hook’s Revenge was freaking perfection. I just want more. More more more. More lovely snarky narrations, more of my shiiiiiiiiiip, and more fantastic fun adventures!

8. The Elemental Trilogy #3 by Sherry Thomas
I am burning with need. My poor perilous heart. *cough* This series is fantastically full of feels, so I can’t wait. The minute the third book is available to me, I’m binge reading the series from the start. It’ll be amazingggg.

9. Lion Heart by A.C. Gaughen
I’m going to be sad to finish this series but excited too. Rob and Scar and the feels and just..

10. The Bone Season #3 by Samantha Shannon
I know The Mime Order isn’t even out yet – but I read it and it’s so fucking amazing, and I need more of that world, more of Paige, more of Warden, more of them together, and just asdfjkl;

That’s it for me! Which sequels made your list?

  1. THRONE OF GLASSSS. Man I need that book.

I’m sure Fairest will be amazing- I do have it preordered- but I want Winter so much more. And I love that you spaceship it! Hahaha! Thorne <3

Vanishing Throne, Winner's Crime, Lion Heart, need, need, need. So many great sequels next year! Personally I'm dying for Raven Cycle 4, Hidden Huntress, and P.S. I Love You as well 🙂

  2. I can’t wait for Winter either. The series just keeps getting better and better. You’ve got some great books on your list this week. I really need to get to some of them!

  3. Yes! The Winner’s Crime and Winter! Both amazing series and I need to know more! I’m actually starting The Winner’s Crime shortly, that ARC has just been calling to me and I’m losing the will power to wait until we’re at least semi-close to the release date.

  4. Omg ‘I spaceship it’ is going to become my new Lunar Chronicles phrase. Like you I can’t wait for Winter. I am looking forward to Fairest, but my need for Winter is constant. If only we didn’t have to wait another year. D:

I’m glad to hear The Falconer’s a good read – it’s on my TBR! 🙂

  5. I need to binge read the Throne of Glass books! I also desperately need to catch up on the Lunar Chronicles titles so that I’m ready when both FAIREST and WINTER do come out.

  6. Ooo, I am excited for All Played Out, too. I’m really liked the Rusk University books so far. I need to get caught up on her other books, though. And Yes, to Winter! I’m not DYING to read Fairest, but I sure am for Winter.

  7. Kimberly

I totally understand your need for Winter. I was trying to wait to start the series until after it was completely published, but then had to read it for a book club I co-host. (The other librarian picked it.) Book club was yesterday, I’m now well into Scarlet, and I can already tell I’m going to be annoyed when I finish Cress and don’t have another book to read. SIGH.

My friend just told me that, when the last Throne of Glass book comes out, I NEED to read it. And I’m really curious about The Falconer, but cliffhangers make me cry.

Too many books added to my TBR!

  8. Rowan better be in ToG4 – at least in the halfway point. But yes more Celaena being badass please!

I really hope the third Elemental book is like an icy purple cover – for wind, I think? Is that the other element that’s missing? Ah, well. Purple. Need a purple cover. Same for ToG4!

  9. Throne of glass #4, I NEED IT RIGHT NOW. It’s one of the best (YA) fantasy series I’ve read in a long time and I’m so invested in all the characters.
I think I’m also more excited for Winter. Sure, the more the better, but I need to find out what is going to happen.
The vanishing throne, THE CLIFF-HANGER, YES. Must. find. out.
The winner’s crime, also one I can’t wait for and The pirate coooooode. I wantz it.
I’m not ready to say goodbye, but at the same time I can’t wait to get Lion Heart in my hands. Pretty *pets cover*
