February 2015: in which… meh?

Wait, February’s over? Honestly, I don’t even know what to say about this month. Work sucked until I pretty much had a breakdown, but eh, I have to find a new job soon anyway. I spent most of my weekends sleeping and lazing and buying the final things to furnish the new apartment… and voila. Month over. …Okay?

On the Big Screen

As far as TV goes: Agent Carter has been rocking my world, Peggy is my hero, and I need badly for it to be renewed. Nashville has been making me cry MULTIPLE TIMES – I’m so invested in this show, it’s completely ridiculous. Suits was blah until the most recent episode and OH MY GOD THE SHIPPY FEELS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. I caught up on Broadchurch in time to catch the finale, and wow. This season started rough for me, but when I marathoned the last episodes, I got swept up in the story again. The cinematography and music just make it so atmospheric and engrossing. I also watched the first two episodes of The Casual Vacancy and I mostly like it! I am really impressed by Krystal, who was my favorite character in the book as well. I think it captures the atmosphere of the story well, though I’ve heard the ending is going to be completely different. We’ll see tonight, I guess!

I went on a bit of a Disney kick in February. I re-watched The Little Mermaid, because I bought an awesome Little Mermaid puzzle and thought it was the perfect thing to put on while I was doing it. I also re-watched Sleeping Beauty because I adored A Wicked Thing so much. Then I watched Maleficent because I totally missed that last year, and it was AMAZING. I also re-watched Alice in Wonderland, the Tim Burton version, because I read the book back in January and meant to do that for a while.

Through My Speakers

In Real Life

  • I hung out with my mom a couple of times, and things seem to be going well! We even got tickets to see Soldaat van Oranje, a Dutch musical based on a story about WWII, in May. I’m really excited, because it’s gotten rave reviews.
  • BOOK CLUB, obvi. We had Korean food, which was okay… not the best I’ve had, but it was fun nonetheless. Book club is such a judgment-free zone, I really feel like we get each other.
  • FALL OUT BOY IS COMING TO HOLLAND AGAIN! October 20th! I already got my ticket to go with Daph, so now I can start counting down the days.

That’s it for me. How was your month?
