Top Ten (or Twenty) All-Time Favorite Books From the Last 3 Years

This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here.

Did anyone else just look at this topic and run off, cry, scream “JE REFUUUUUUSE”, and consider skipping it because it’s completely impossible? Yeah. That was basically how I felt. However, with some modifications, I have managed to make this work. I’m looking at books that were published in 2012-2015 – so backlist books I read were disqualified. Then, following my highest ratings, and separating the list into two top tens: contemporary and other, I actually feel confident with this. BUT I’M NOT NUMBERING THEM OR DOING THIS IN A SPECIFIC ORDER BECAUSE THAT WOULD JUST BE CRUEL.
