Maid-sama!, volume 1 & 2 by Fujiwara Hiro: Yeah, this is different – I bought a manga. But this also should be obvious because this is one of my top three favorite mangas of all time – I even wrote a review of it here. The manga went out of print and was never finished in English, but they’re reprinting them in 2-in-1 editions now, and yeah I’m going to be pre-ordering every single one. #musthave
Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes by Rick Riordan: Obvious pre-order for obvious reasons. I haven’t read Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods yet, but I will. Because duh. And love. And with all its stunning illustrations, this was just a must buy.
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas: Yep. Duh. Haven’t read it. So hush.
Bounce by Noelle August: IT’S GREY’S BOOK. I’M SO EXCITED. *bounces* (see what I did there?)
Just Ella by Margaret Peterson Haddix: Super adorable cover alert! This is our October book club book, and I’m stoked – not just because FAIRY TALES – but also because Haddix was one of the only authors I loved as a kid. I hope she stacks up now (also so I can collect the rest of this series and its super cute covers).
The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson: I had an ARC of this and loved it (to my own surprise, somewhat), but yeah, I finally got fully on board with the series – so I needed to own this pretty in hardcover. ♥ #TeamLia
P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han: I haven’t read the first book yet, but it’s coming up soon (for book club this month) and I wanted to have the sequel on hand so I could binge the series right away. 🙂 Series binging is becoming one of my favorite things.
The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes: Christina raved about this so much, I put it on my Christina-told-me-to shelf, and then she bought it. This is how you book push, lololol. But I am very intrigued by this! Scandal meets Veronica Mars? I have issues with Scandal, but I like political dramas, and Vmars ftw.
Nimona by Noelle Stevenson: EEE. I’ve been eyeing this foreverrrr, not only because it’s been raved about so much in terms of the story, but also because I really want to read more graphic novels. I’ll probably squeeze this one in sometime soon.
Enchanted, Inc. by Shanna Swendson: I actually hadn’t heard about this series before, but I read Swendson’s new YA release, Rebel Mechanics, and it was SUPER FUN. Christina has read these and apparently now I should too. Point taken. ^^; But it sounds like hilarious paranormal chick lit, so I’m game.
The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak: CELEBRITY ROMANCE. The lead singer in a band and the only girl in the world who hates their music… I AM SO EXCITED WOMG. I need to read this ASAP. It sounds far too adorbs.
Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway: I actually haven’t read Benway before, but I’ve been meaning too, and this one sounds as cute as kittens. So YAY! 🙂 You can always count on Christina to push the fluff. ♥
Grounded: The Adventures of Rapunzel by Megan Morrison: Hahaha, Morgan has been raving about this one since it came out, so I knew when I put it on my wishlist I could expect to find it in my mailbox. BUT THAT’S OKAY and I LOVE YOU MORGAN because Rapunzel (and just fairy tale) retellings are my jam. I’m stoked!
Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan: I’ve heard the beeest things about this series – particularly that the level of banter is srsly high (and you know banter is my thinggggg) – so I am SO STOKED to own it now. Must plan when I will devour this series.
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray: Daisy TOTALLY surprised me with this gift, but the book in question was not a surprise. She has been pushing me to read it for ages ♥ But I am SO HAPPY to own it, because, particularly after reading Lair of Dreams last month, I am desperate to have more Libba Bray in my life. Her writing is just SO amazing.
The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan: YEAH DUH, THIS INSPIRED THE TITLE OF THE POST BECAUSE OH. MY. GOD. A thousand thank yous to Tiemen and the lovely people of the American Book Center. I can’t even believe this is in my hands right now. It’s up next to read and I CANNOT WAIT. Especially because the first chapter title is “Good morning! You’re going to die.” HOOKED.
Velvet Undercover by Teri Brown: Teenage spy during World War I. I AM VERY INTRIGUED.
Da Vinci’s Tiger by L.M. Elliott: *rages about cover redesign* BUT ANYWAY. I am really getting into historical fiction this year, and this one sounds like it’s right up my alley. I loooove stories that involve artistry. And it reminds me a bit of A Mad, Wicked Folly which I absolutely loved.
The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig: TIME TRAVELING. It’s Debby bait. That’s all I really have to say for myself.
The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine: Snow White retelling = I’m down. So down. Also, I admire Redwine as a person, though I haven’t read her books yet – so I’m excited to change that. And also also, THAT COVER DUDE. #covergasm
A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro: The descendants of Sherlock and Watson meet up, have a rivalry, get framed for a crime, and work together to clear their names… ummm. YES. Hell yes. Please be good!!!
