Book Haul #29: In Which I Show Astonishing Restraint

Posted December 19, 2015 by Debby in Book Hauls / 6 Comments

You know, I adore December – not only because of Christmas, but also because I actually manage to show restraint in buying shit for myself. It’s so much more fun to buy things for others. Anyway, my book haul this time is a bit smaller than normal – but let’s face it, that’s a good thing.

Purchased

2015-12

Winter by Marissa Meyer: Obvious pre-order was obvious (but also obviously late). I actually made the time for a full series reread and oh my god. It’s so good. I’m so sad it’s over. Awesome characters, awesome ships, awesome world… so very good.

Just Visiting by Dahlia Adler: Yeah, I already read an ARC of this, but of course I had to own it! I had to complete my Dahlia collection. If you want a great YA friendship novel, you definitely should buy this too.

The Vanishing Throne by Elizabeth May: I’ve been waiting for this for SO LONG. asdfjkl; finally we can get the cliffhanger resolved. I do want to reread The Falconer first though, so I probably won’t get to it till January.
For Review
This Savage Song Girl Against the Universe My Lady Jane Bookishly Ever After

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab: UM DUH IT’S V SCHWAB. She is one of my faves. I can’t waaaaiiiiitt to have more YA fantasy from her. Though I still have her backlist to catch up on *cough* But look at the pretty coverrrrrrrrr!

Girl Against the Universe by Paula Stokes: IT’S PAULA DARLING. I adore Paula. I read the first couple of chapters of this a couple months back and I was already getting pumped about the shippity ship. Cannot wait!

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows: Words cannot describe how excited I’ve been about this book – and for HOW LONG. I have read all of these authors before and know they can do amazing stuff, so to have them all together? On historical fiction? EEEPPP.

Bookishly Ever After by Isabel Bandeira: Look, I wouldn’t be a good book nerd if I passed up this title. It is perf. And I’m reading it next, so AHHH I’m very excited. I want adorable fluffies, plzkthnxbai.

  1. Bookishly Ever After looks so cute! I downloaded This Savage Song too. I think we ALL did! It looks so good. I am DYING to read The Vanishing Throne. I will do a reread too though first. Ack, I’ve not ordered the UK version but I really must. It is so pretty.

  2. I’m completely with you on Girl Against The Universe! Are you on the Liars, Inc Street Team? If so, then we read the same sample. I’ve been desperate for that book ever since. I can’t wait to get to read it!
