On the Big Screen

TV Series:

Nashville: I can’t believe this series was canceled. And the result is that it ends with a gigantic ass cliffhanger. WAHHHHH. I will miss these characters and this emotional rollercoaster so much.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Hot damn. Those last couple episodes were intense to the max. I’m just happy my ship still exists and for once got away unscathed. But yeah, the end of this season kicked ass.

Game of Thrones: It’s back and it’s FABULOUS. So excited about all of my favorites right now. And they’ve even gotten me to care marginally about Bran’s storyline, like wut. Miracles do happen?

The Magicians: I binged the first season this month and I don’t know. It’s not my favorite, but it did impress me here and there. And I definitely get the adult Harry Potter/Narnia vibes, but I like it. Visually it’s pretty cool. I’m not planning on reading the books, but I will watch the next season.

Agent Carter: JUST AS I WAS CATCHING UP THEY CANCELED THIS SERIES AND MY HEART IS BROKEN. Season 2 wasn’t really my fave, but Peggy is still such an icon that we just NEED to have in the world. Still hoping Netflix will pick it up…

Jessica Jones: HOLY CRAP THIS SERIES IS SO GOOD. Like, I know everyone was saying that, but SERIOUSLY. David Tennant is the best villain ever. And every episode was so intense. I legit binged this in just over 2 days. And I regret absolutely nothing.

Daredevil: Binged season 1 this month and I actually really liked it. Not as much as Jessica Jones, but it’s cool. Better than I expected.

Geordie Shore: THE SHAME, THE SHAME, but actually I don’t feel ashamed at all. Everyone’s fallen for trash reality TV sometime right? The Brits are just hilarious. They have no boundaries. I was watching it on MTV when it was on so much, I went ahead and binged the first 3 seasons. And the binge continues…

Movies:

Captain America: Civil War: SO GOOD. SO SO SO GOOD. It’s pretty much my favorite Marvel movie till now. Steve is flawless. And I actually really really enjoyed Spider-Man, and that got me so pumped for his movie which I never expected in a million years. But yeah, this movie is pure excellence. (5/5)

What’s Your Number?: Rewatch, because I needed more Chris Evans in my life. And I regret nothing. This movie’s fun. (3/5)

I just can’t even.

Through My Speakers

In Real Life

  • Obviously, you can tell from the above that I spent a LOT of time reading and watching TV. May turned out to be kind of a relaxation month for me, but also after coming back from the US in April, I’d broken through my routine and it felt like I had so many more hours in a day. idk what that magic is but I like it.
  • On the opposite end of the spectrum though, I started Blogilates. Yep, I finally decided to get moving, and for the most part I really like this way of doing it. I don’t have to go anywhere, I don’t need any tools, Cassie puts together the whole calendar… I like! I don’t know how effective it is yet, but I like adding exercise to my new routine.
  • I spent one weekend totally blissed out at my aunt and uncle’s house out in the Dutch countryside. The weather was AMAZING, and I spent so much time just sitting in the sun and reading. Sometimes listening to my uncle play piano. It was basically PERFECT.
  • WORK. It’s been busy busy, but also good. My raise finally came in, I started giving my colleagues coaching in planning and structure (because obvi with my 2 years of working experience I am the person for this), I reached the milestone of 1 year at the company, and I got confirmation that I can go back to New York in June for a big trade show 🙂 🙂 🙂
  • I went to see a Dutch musical – SKY – with my mother last weekend. It was really different, because there were 3D screens surrounding the stage, which they used for really fantastical scenes in a kind of Alice in Wonderland world. The story was okay, and the music was okay, but it was cool to see.
  • I booked my next vacation: CUBA. November 4th – 22nd. Holy crap.

That’s it for me! How was your month?
