Monthly Wrap-Up: January 2014

January 2014: a fresh start! A new year! Finally! This month was marked by boredom at work, due to being in between projects, procrastination on my thesis, and TONS of exciting new releases. Overall… I think that’s okay. I read 9 books (3,599 pages; average rating: 3.56) and posted 11 reviews and 13 other posts. Monthly Wrap-Up: December 2013

December 2013: the holiday season! We’re finally at the end of the year. As could probably be expected, I read a bit less because of the holidays, but I still did quite well, for me, and I managed to get quite a few posts up as well in spite of the pre-holiday busy rush at work. I read 6 books and posted 11 reviews and 9 other posts. December Reads Books Read: Cress by Marissa Meyer The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Monthly Wrap-Up: November 2013

Monthly Wrap-Up: November 2013

November 2013: the month of the snuggly comeback! Bonjour people! I know it’s weird to have a monthly wrap-up since I only came back on November 25th, but you know what, I still have a book haul to show you, and some milestones that can be talked about. So here we go! In November I read 7 books, which is kind of sad. But The Bone Season was massive, and so is S., which I’m working my way through now, and the move to WordPress did take up a lot of time as well. So I’m still relatively proud of myself. The blog itself has […]

Monthly Digest: August 2013 (+vlog)

August 2013: the month of CRAZY…In August, I became a massive fail. I read a total of 5 books and posted 5 reviews & 1 discussion. … Yeah, I don’t even have a really great excuse. Wait, you know what, working full time is a great excuse. *pouts* I’ve just reached the point of feeling overwhelmed, so I need to take a step backward for a while. Sorry 🙁Monthly Book Haul + Get to Know Me VlogPlease excuse the lame attempts to be funny and the excessive use of cutting. I’m going to pretend I’m not a total n00b and skillfully blame this on me being sick at the […]

Monthly Digest: July 2013

Monthly Digest: July 2013

July 2013: the month of long commutes and getting used to working life…In July, I read a total of 7 books (+1 novella) and posted 8 reviews & 3 discussions. It’s been a month of contemporary reads for me, for the most part. I guess summer really does inspire contemporary romance. But the stats are down a bit, due to me working full-time now.Favorite ReadA Midsummer’s Nightmare by Kody KeplingerReviewsThis month has been all across the board, in terms of ratings. There were books I totally LOVED and books I totally hated (GRR ADELA GRR), and everything in between. Aptly, the average rating for this month […]

Monthly Digest: June 2013

Monthly Digest: June 2013

June 2013: the month of good reads and interviews…I’m finally joining in on this trend of having a monthly wrap-up. Why? Well I like summaries of stuff, and I’d like to share little real-life tidbits in a post like this as well. Let me know what you think though, if this is a feature worth adding. In June, I read a total of 11 books and posted 9 reviews & 5 discussions. After going through a reading slump with review copies that were disappointment after disappointment, I’m glad to say I have finally recovered, and I discovered a new gem that now holds a place on my […]
