Monthly Wrap-Up: June 2016

Monthly Wrap-Up: June 2016

June 2016: what a whirlwind! June was incredible, amazing, busy, and exhausting. I was sick for a couple weeks, which was the low point… but it all got better after that. I read a lot, had another relaxing weekend at my aunt and uncle’s house in the country, and then… had my big, brilliant business trip to New York Cityyyyyyyyyy. I’m still asking myself how this is my life right now. June Reads Books Read: The Wrath and the Dawn by Renée Ahdieh (re-read) The Rose and the Dagger by Renée Ahdieh Hollow City by Ransom Riggs The Vile Village by Lemony Snicket (re-read) Wanderlost […]

Monthly Wrap-Up: December 2015

Monthly Wrap-Up: December 2015

December 2015: and so the year ends! Happy New Year!!! Oh my gosh, 2015 flew by. In some ways. The last half certainly. The first half was rotten, and there were some rotteny things later on too, but overall I’m ending the year on a positive note. December was a super fun, but super busy month. So not much reading, a shit ton of movies, an absolute mountain of food, and – of course – PRESENTS. December Reads Books Read: Cress by Marissa Meyer (reread) Winter by Marissa Meyer The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak Bookishly Ever After by Isabel Bandeira The Deal by Elle Kennedy […]

♫ Get in line for the sunshine ♫

♫ Get in line for the sunshine ♫

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you might have noticed gradually increasing excitement and restlessness – but the time has finally come: I’m going on vacation! Shortly after this post goes live, I’ll be on a plane on my way to Turkey with my biffle. This is the first proper “relax in the sun and do nothing” vacation I’ve taken in three years, sooo yeah, I’m excited. We’ll be at an all-inclusive resort for 8 days – arguably still short, but hopefully more than enough time to recharge. Sometimes I schedule posts far in advance so the blog continues on even when I’m […]

Recap: New York + Book Expo America 2014, Part 2

Recap: New York + Book Expo America 2014, Part 2

I hope you all enjoyed part 1 of my adventures in New York earlier this week! But let’s face it: now we’re getting to the main event – the conference itself and all the events and bookishness surrounding that. I hope I can do my adventures justice. Day 5: Wednesday, May 28th Officially, Wednesday was not a BEA day, as I elected to skip the Book Blogger Conference (probably a good thing too, considering the drama at one of the panels, which ended up ripping a divide between book bloggers and booktubers). But Gaby and I woke up at a decent hour and went down […]

Recap: New York + Book Expo America 2014, Part 1

Recap: New York + Book Expo America 2014, Part 1

Though it was already quite a while ago, this year in May, I went to Book Expo America 2014 in New York. I knowww, I fail at only getting to the recap now, but hey, just be glad I’m doing it. Okay? Today I’ll be recapping the stuff that happened before the conference actually began, as the orange took over New York. Now, let’s get this straight: I lived in the US for ten years, so if you’re hoping for quirky observations about how …unique America is, you won’t get that from me. However, I’ll share some tips along the way and some reminders to […]

Adventures of a Bookworm in London

Adventures of a Bookworm in London

Back in November, while I was on my break from the blog, I went to London. It was my third time going and by far the best trip so far. I’m so lucky to have my best friend living there, because he really knew the best places to take me to. So here’s a semi-short recap, if you’re interested! 🙂 Day 1: Thursday, November 7th My best friend indulged me, and took me to all the bookstores to get it out of the way and so I would stop bothering him about it. OR SO HE THOUGHT. We went to Foyles, Waterstones at Piccadilly Circus […]
