Wow. Just wow. I loved Grave Mercy and Dark Triumph, so my expectations for Mortal Heart were understandably high. But it met them. Exceptionally well. This is one of the best series conclusions I have ever read, and the series as a whole has forever gained a place on my favorites shelf. Mortal Heart tells Annith’s story. I absolutely adored Grave Mercy from start to finish, so I knew that I had to continue on with the series as soon as humanly possible. I’m so glad I did, because Dark Triumph was if possible even better and I just want to flail about like a mad woman with all my love for this series. Grave Mercy and indeed the His Fair Assassin trilogy is one of those super hyped up YA series that I sort of never really considered until an explosion of hype seemed to appear last year.
