Here it is, probably one of the most dreaded topics of the year, because now we have to make some srs choices. Instinct screams, “JE REFUSE!” But, I don’t actually feel too bad, because I’ve been keeping up with my book rankings for the year in my yearbook spreadsheet – so I haven’t forgotten about all of the AMAZING books at the beginning of the year. In fact, despite having read over 120 books this year so far, I’m pretty happy with the top 10 that […]

This is a periodic discussion feature here at Snuggly Oranges about the bookish things that steal my heart. #9. Banterfluff If you follow this blog, by now you’ve probably noticed that I am a huge fan of the fluffiest of books. Today, I want to talk about the value of fluffy books (to me) and introduce you to some of my favorite titles so hopefully you can discover and revel in the fluffy as well! The Case For Fluffiness Christina from A Reader of Fictions wrote a post a while back about the fine art of fluff, which I highly suggest that all of you read. I […]
This is a periodic discussion feature here at Snuggly Oranges about the bookish things that steal my heart. #7. Parallel Universes If you’ve been around the blog and have read my Top Ten Tuesday posts, you’ve probably noticed a trend among some of my favorite books. I am in love with the concept of parallel universes. It instantly puts books on my radar and more often than not, I absolutely love them. What I define as a parallel universe story: basically, the main character goes through two different timelines or exists in two (or more) worlds that are very similar, but differ in some way. For example: […]
This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here. I decided not to choose a specific genre for this post because, well, I just don’t read enough books – much less the underrated ones. Soooo deal with it. Here are ten books I’ve loved that I think deserve way more praise and lovin’ than they’re getting. 1. Adorkable by Sarra Manning I’m like a one-woman fangirl army for this book, so yeah. More love. MORE LOVE. 2. Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill I know this book does get a lot of love in some […]
This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here. I had a really tough time with this topic. Because, like, how do you ever even decide. Do you pick characters you relate to? Who you have something in common with? Do you pick your favorite ships so you could can stare creepily? Do you pick the hotties so you can ogle them? *cough* Do you just pick the most awesome characters on the block? But what if the characters you love are not the most social? I’M NOT A PERFECTIONIST OVERTHINKER, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING […]
This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here. If I think about the summer or the beach, right now what I’m thinking is I want light, fluid, fluffy, relatable, and/or romantic contemporary reads. As such, I will compile some titles for you here. I will cover both angles of the topic – recommend books I’ve read to you guys to put in your beach bag, and list some titles I hope to read if I get a beach day myself. Enjoy! I’m back! Since I didn’t do any book hauls while I was on hiatus, quite a stack has accumulated. And let’s not forget that due to the precedent set forth by Christina, book hauls should now be boozy book hauls. I drank a bit. So I rambled a bit. Or, you know, for 30 minutes. I CUT STUFF. But it’s still 24 minutes, so I’m sorry. I fail at vlog making. BUT WHATEVERRRRR I do things because they are fun FOR ME. And I hope you manage to find it entertaining too!
This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here. I chose contemporary for this topic because, well for most other genres, the books I’ve read are in series and then it’s just repetitive and everything. Since most contemporaries are stand alone, I have a LOT more to choose from. These are all my absolute favorites, and all of them have 5 star ratings. Let the gushing begin.
