My Top Ten Most Underrated Books (According to Goodreads)

My Top Ten Most Underrated Books (According to Goodreads)

This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here. I love and hate today’s topic. I love that we get to shine the spotlight on those titles that definitely deserve more attention, but I hate that while looking on Goodreads for books I’ve read with less than 2,000 ratings, I saw so many titles that genuinely upset me. Holy crap guys. You all have some catching up to do. As in, please, do read these, right about now. My Top Ten Most Underrated Books (According to Goodreads) 1. Book Haul #30: …Wait, Number 30??

Book Haul #30: …Wait, Number 30??

I sit here slightly ashamed and mostly uncaring about the fact that I’ve not been posting for basically this entire month. I’ve been sick, busy, lazy, and actually enjoying my PS4 and new TV. 2016 is turning out to be about listening to myself and what I really want to do and not getting bothered with blogger guilt. But I’m not dying or closing down the blog just yet. No worries. Anyway, I have gotten some books in the past month and I thought at the VERY least I could spend a little time talking about them. 🙂 Can you believe this is my 30th […]

ARC Book Review: Bookishly Ever After by Isabel Bandeira

ARC Book Review: Bookishly Ever After by Isabel Bandeira

With a title and premise so perfect, as a self-proclaimed book nerd, there was no way I could resist this book. And MAN am I glad it exists. So fluffy, cute, and funny – it cheered me straight up and delighted me for hours. I will say it took me a little bit to get into Bookishly Ever After. Though the premise is perfection and I should have instantly been like OMG PHOEBE IS ME, I was nervous. The constant bookish references and little cute book nerd habits almost seemed kind of like they were trying to hard… like this book was completely pandering to […]

Happy New Year’s Eve!!! Oh man, I can’t believe 2015 is actually ending. This year has FLOWN by. But, new year, new books. Let’s start at the top! Here are the books I’m most excited about coming out in January. January 5th Truthwitch by Susan Dennard: Umm, yeah, pretty sure this is the most hyped title of 2016 so far. *jumps on bandwagon* *hides from hype-makers* Passenger by Alexandra Bracken: A VERY TRUSTED friend did not have favorable thoughts about this book *cough**cough*, but I’M STILL VERY INTRIGUED. Time Travel is like MY THING, you know? It sounds so good. The Imposter Queen by Sarah […]

Book Haul #29: In Which I Show Astonishing Restraint

Book Haul #29: In Which I Show Astonishing Restraint

You know, I adore December – not only because of Christmas, but also because I actually manage to show restraint in buying shit for myself. It’s so much more fun to buy things for others. Anyway, my book haul this time is a bit smaller than normal – but let’s face it, that’s a good thing. Purchased Winter by Marissa Meyer: Obvious pre-order was obvious (but also obviously late). I actually made the time for a full series reread and oh my god. It’s so good. I’m so sad it’s over. Awesome characters, awesome ships, awesome world… so very good. Just Visiting by Dahlia Adler: […]
