This is a meme from The Broke and the Bookish. For info about the topics and how to participate, click here.As a compulsive completionist, it is very distressing to me that this topic is happening now, because I’m sooo not done yet with my Fall TBR (by which I mean I’ve only read 7 out of 10 – the shaaaaame, the shaaaaaaaaame). *cough* Anyway, this winter I’m hoping to really catch up on review copies, get them out of the way, and then I can catch up on some of my other TBR Top Ten Tuesdays from this year – books that I missed. But to resist from overlapping too much, I’ll feature some upcoming new releases too 🙂
1. Feed by Mira Grant
This is our book club pick for December! I’ve had the series for ages because Christina gave it to me for my birthday, but I was still hesitant about the whole zombie thing. Hopefully book club will give me the push I need and then it will blow me away and I’ll be all aboard for zombie stories. *cough* I guess.
2. My True Love Gave to Me, edited by Stephanie Perkins
It’s still my plan to read this on the plane back to Texas for Christmas 🙂 Short holiday romances? Sounds absolutely perfect.
3. Liars, Inc. by Paula Stokes
Technically this is also a review book, but I want to read it early because I’m on the street team! I want to know what I’m promoting, and dive into it, thinking of all sorts of creative content to promote it 🙂
4. The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall
I don’t want to be shallow and say DAT COVER but seriously, that cover. Okay, but also this is supposedly a YA Da Vinci Code? GIVE IT TO ME NOWWWWWWW.
5. Fairest by Marissa Meyer
I’m all about this series, so this is obvious.
6. Inspire by Cora Carmack
I’m all caught up on Cora Carmack’s books right now, and she’s officially on my auto-buy list, so this is another obvious pick. But also, new adult paranormal? AND Greek mythology??? My body is ready.
7. This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
I picked up the bound manuscript of this one at BEA and EEEEEP. It’s almost time. I’m probably reading this this week. Can’t wait to see more of this spectacular sci-fi universe.
8. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Early reviews of this have been pretty promising so far! I’m excited! Always down for more courtly fantasies.
9. The Boy Next Door by Katie Van Ark
This sounds like the PERFECT winter romance. Another potential read for my Christmas vacation 🙂
10. Beastkeeper by Cat Hellisen
This middle grade fairy tale fantasy with the TOO CUTE cover is screaming at me to read it. Soooon.
