Did anyone else just look at this topic and run off, cry, scream “JE REFUUUUUUSE”, and consider skipping it because it’s completely impossible? Yeah. That was basically how I felt. However, with some modifications, I have managed to make this work. I’m looking at books that were published in 2012-2015 – so backlist books I read were disqualified. Then, following my highest ratings, and separating the list into two top tens: contemporary and other, I actually feel confident with this. BUT I’M NOT NUMBERING THEM OR DOING THIS IN A SPECIFIC ORDER BECAUSE THAT WOULD JUST BE CRUEL.Top Ten Contemporary Reads

I just want to go YES to pretty much all the books on your list, aside from one and the ones that I haven’t read yet! But I know you’ll just keep shoving those at me till I read them 😉 ALL the love for This Song Will Save Your Life and Pivot Point!!
Cress! I just love that book. And all the others in the series. Oh and The Distance Between Us. So freaking cute! I keep meaning to read Adorkable. It looks so cute.
I loved Isla, Kasie West’s books (though I still need to read On the Fence), The Falconer, and the Lunar Chronicles, but I still need to read Sarah Maas… I know I should be ashamed of myself.
Great List!
Cress is sitting on my shelf staring at me. I really just need to grab it but I know that once I start reading I won’t want to stop.
There are a lot of these that I am going to have to add to my TBR.
Thanks for sharing!

Pivot Point is so awesome. I really hope the author returns to that world. I just love the idea of super powered people.
