Most Wanted: September 2015

Posted August 25, 2015 by Debby in Uncategorized

We’re approaching the end of August, which means it’s almost time for September, which we all know is an EPIC new release month. Seriously, publishers omg. I’ve whittled down my list to the nine books that I’m most excited for, and here – we – go.

September 1st

Queen of Shadows Everything Everything Vengeance Road

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas: DUH. I actually want to do a series reread before I read this one, which means I probably won’t get to reading it until like November, so spoilers are my enemy. Tell me nothing.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon: This one has been getting massive hype, yeah, but I can imagine why. The main character’s allergic to the outside world. I’ve been reading about a lot of disorders this year and have been amazed by most of them, so I’m definitely intrigued.

Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman: YA Western historical fiction, you say? I am intrigued!! I’m also a tiny bit hesitant because I didn’t like Taken very much, but I am definitely keeping an eye on this one.

September 8th

William Shakespeare's Tragedy of the Sith's Revenge

William Shakespeare’s Tragedy of the Sith’s Revenge by Ian Doescher: The series is ending, eeeeeeeek! But seriously, I am super excited to see Anakin’s downfall.

September 15th

The Pirate Code Tonight the Streets Are Ours

The Pirate Code by Heidi Schulz: I already read this and obviously I adored it. This is one of my favorite middle grade series of all time! I’m just really sad this is the end (for now).

Tonight the Streets Are Ours by Leila Sales: I loved This Song Will Save You Life so much that all of her books are on my to read list now. And this cover is just stunninggggg. LOVE it.

September 22nd

A New Hope

A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy by Alexandra Bracken: ILLUSTRATED. STAR WARS. RETELLING. Holy crap I’m a nerd.

September 29th

Six of Crows The Epic Adventures of Lydia Bennet

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo: DUH. This woman writes magic. I’m really curious how this series will branch off from the Grisha. ALSO Leigh Bardugo is coming to the Netherlands on her tour and I AM EXCITE.

The Epic Adventures of Lydia Bennet by Kate Rorick and Rachel Kiley: EEEEEEE. You probably know I am a huge fan of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and I adored The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet last year. But now, it’s LYDIA’S turn. LEE – DEE – YAH. Whaaaaat?

Which September ’15 titles are you most excited about?

  1. Wait…there are Star Wars retellings??? Those look so amazing! And by Alexandra Bracken… I did not see that coming! Wow, I’m so glad I saw your post!

I’ve heard a lot about Queen of Shadows and Six of Crows, which is pretty much to be expected, but sadly I’ve never read either of the series…

  2. Seriously, is EVERY book being published in September?! My TBR for next month is INSANE!! I’ve been trying to get through as many as possible, but August was a huge month too! I LOVED Everything, Everything. It was such a strong and emotional read. Vengeance Road was also very good! Unlike anything I’ve read before… probably because I’ve never read a Western. šŸ™‚ I’m super excited to start Six of Crows and Tonight the Streets are Ours. I hope you enjoy them all! šŸ™‚

  3. OH, btw, have you listening to the audiobooks of the Shakespeare’s Star Wars? Because OH MAN are they perfection. It’s a full-cast recording plus sound effcts and the original film score and ahhhhh. Plus there’s bonus content (Shakespeare and Ian Doescher have an argument/conversation). They’ve only done the original trilogy so far, but I’m hoping they’ll record the reboot trilogy eventually. 10/10 would recommend.

    • I haven’t! Till now, Quirk has been sending me the hard copies of the series, but I can imagine that on audio they would be even better šŸ™‚ Maybe if I ever feel the need for a reread?

  4. Finally FINALLY Six of Crows is almost here! A month, I can totally (not) wait a whole month.

Also, I am REALLY curious what you think of Everything, Everything, Debby. For me, I freaking loved this book, but a lot of people felt robbed. I am going to be waiting, holding my breath, to see your reaction.

    • Haha, please don’t hold your breath, because likely you’ll DIE way too soon ^^; I am interested in Everything, Everything, but I probably won’t get around to buying or reading it for a while. My vacation made me more than a little broke x_x
