Book Haul #34: Which is Just a Bit AHHHHHHHHHH-worthy

Posted May 21, 2016 by Debby in Uncategorized

This haul is bigger than I would ideally want. But what can you do with so many awesome new releases in April and May? And yeah, though I want to ween off review copies, there are some August/September titles even I can’t resist. So whoops. Whatcha gonna do? Read, of course!

The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan: Um. Yeah. Even I think that Uncle Rick is kind of milking it at this point, but I could not resist. Will forever love Greek mythology and the possibility of Percabeth sightings. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Maid-sama!, volume 7 & 8 by Fujiwara Hiro: Still faithfully collecting these as they’re released. I will probably pick this one up soon to leaf through it though, because some of my faaaaaaavorite chapters are in this one. (I gave volume 7 five unquestionable stars, so yeah.)

Dream On by Kerstin Gier: FINALLYYYYYYYYY. Seriously, the translation on this one took forever!! But now it’s finally in my hands. I’m excited. I mean, the first book wasn’t flawless, but it was FUN, SO MUCH FUN, and I dearly hope my ship will set sail in this one. Must read soon.

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson: I’m currently reading this one and LOVING IT SO MUCH. Oh my god, Clark is definitely a book boyfriend of the highest quality. HE’S A FREAKING WRITER. GUYS. You want this. I’ve been reading it almost non-stop and giggling loudly and obnoxiously. It’s just wonderful.

For Review

Out on Good Behavior Diplomatic Immunity Bright Smoke Cold Fire

Out on Good Behavior by Dahlia Adler: It’s Dahlia, it’s funny F/F NA, so obviously I was going to read this. Spoiler alert: I already did and I loved it!! This is definitely one of the best NA series out there guys, so if you’re into that, get into this. Dahlia would make a dirty joke now.

Diplomatic Immunity by Brodi Ashton: HI YES NEW BRODI ASHTON. I mean, I vaguely know that this is a political kinda YA book, but the author in this case was enough for me. I am definitely very VERY excited.

Bright Smoke, Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge: Haha, same as above really. NEW ROSAMUND HODGE. YESSSSSSSSSSSS. Also how freaking GORGEOUS is this cover?

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I can’t even believe this is in my hands right now. I mean, I am so terribly behind on all things Kristoff, but I am so excited for this. A million thank yous to Tiemen and the American Book Center β™₯β™₯β™₯

  1. I loved The Unexpected Everything so much!!! I genuinely want to reread it again already, because it was so good. Plus Clark was adorable πŸ˜€ And same, I mostly still buy Rick Riordan’s books for the possibility of seeing Percabeth again.

  2. Great book haul! I just got Morgan Matson’s new book, BUT I have buried myself in reading debt. πŸ˜€ I hope to get to it soon.
