Most Wanted: September 2016

Posted August 27, 2016 by Debby in Books

Uh oh. September’s around the corner. And if you’re an avid reader, you know that means that a LOT of big buzz books are about to drop. I am terrified and excited. Here are my top picks.

September 6th

Empire of Storms The Cat King of Havana The Replacement Crush

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas: Duh. I’m one book behind on this series, but it’s basically my goal in September to do a marathon (re-)read, because I love it so much. I just need to get completely immersed again.

The Cat King of Havana by Tom Crosshill: I just found out about this today, but I do want to read it purely because it’s set in Cuba, where I’ll be going in November. I wouldn’t pick it up otherwise, but I want to get inspired for my trip ๐Ÿ™‚

The Replacement Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts: Um, book blogger main character? Skeptical about love? Nervous to trust? I feel like this is adorable and just so ME. So yes. I want it.

September 13th

Emma Trevayne The Reader

Gamescape: Overworld by Emma Trevayne: I will never not be tempted by virtual reality concepts like this. I really really hope it’s good, so I may wait for a couple of reviews first, but I am definitely interested.

The Reader by Traci Chee: Magic from books in an illiterate society? I’m a little burnt out on fantasy at the moment, but I’m definitely keeping my eye out for this one.

September 20th

Three Dark Crowns

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake: Three fierce princesses fighting for the right to be queen? Well OBVIOUSLY this has my attention.

September 27th

Crooked Kingdom The Goal

The Goal by Elle Kennedy: This is definitely one of my favorite new adult series. I am so excited to dive into this one, because I read the last three in no time at all.

  1. CANNOT WAIT FOR EMPIRE OF STORMS! And there’s quite a few on here I hadn’t heard of, and will be adding to my TBR – thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚ In particular Gamescape, I just can’t get enough of books about video games.

  2. I hadn’t heard of The Replacement Crush until recently, it sounds so cute! Empire of Storms is on my list too, of course. It really is an addictive series. I’m excited to see what you think of Three Dark Crowns; it takes some warming up but I liked it a LOT. Yessssss THE GOAL! Probably my most anticipated honestly. September is always such a good book month ๐Ÿ™‚
